Ambassador for Links of London Gets One Step Closer To Sporting History

Tipped by thelinks of london bracelets Telegraph as the woman who may linksLondonbecome THE story of London 2012, Sarah Storey came one step closer to achieving sporting history on Friday at the World Cup cycling event in Manchester. Riding for the Great Britain women’s team pursuit, Storey helpedcuff bracelets break the British record twice in a day with a victorious final finish against New Zealand just one fifth of a second outside the world record.

Storey, who Links London Ringshas won 16 Paralympic medals including five golds as a swimmer and two Paralympic golds as a cyclist, is one of our four London 2012 brand ambassadors. She will be one of the faces of our exclusive collections designed to mark London’s moment in the sporting limelight

Storey told Links of London how she feels after such an incredible result – “Winning the Women’s Team Pursuit event at the Manchester World Cup was very exciting. I was making my debut for the able-bodied British team and hadn’t expected to get so close to the World Record on our first outing as a team. It was a huge honour to ride with two former World Champions in that event and a real team effort to get to the finish in such a quick time. I am now looking forward to continuing to train hard in the event, alongside the events I hope to dot in Paralympics to see whether I can be a part of the Team Pursuit in London 2012.”
